Senior Telecommunications Specialist
for a new opening in Washington, DC! The ideal candidate will have expertise in supporting the design, installation, and maintenance of a complex network-centric land mobile radio communications system. The system consists of Motorola Core VHF LMR equipment interfaced into the customer-controlled network allowing WAVE audio distribution to multiple end users. Experience in geographically diverse RF and data networks is desired. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Duties: Provide daily technical support to on-site personnel Provide systems engineering support to end-users Occasional installation support of network and RF equipment Document each engineering subsystem down to signal flow and traffic type Skills: Experience with network equipment, Cisco, Juniper, HPE, and Dell IP Networking Experience Experience in Diagnosing, Repairing, Programming, and Installing RF Equipment Possesses Complex Understanding of Two-Way Radio Theory and RF Propagation Characteristics at Various Frequency Bands Familiar With RF Design and Engineering Proficient Operating RF Test Equipment (Communications Service Monitors, Wattmeters, TDRs, FDRs, Multimeters) Experience with installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of VHF/UHF Digital two-way radio systems. Knowledge of Motorola equipment and software preferred but not required Understanding of Radio over IP (RoIP) systems desired Ability to document existing data and network infrastructure Ability to interact and communicate with high level government clients as a must Proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) Clearance required:
