The Department of Pediatrics at Rutgers Robert Wood Medical School is seeking to hire faculty members in the division of Pediatric Cardiology. Candidates must have an MD or DO degree, be board-certified in pediatrics and must be Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. We are looking for fellowship trained physicians, with fellowships in Pediatric Cardiology. At RWJMS Pediatric Cardiologists see patients and mentor students and residents on our ambulatory clinic primarily at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, ancillary locations and inpatient medical units of the Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital, a facility on our academic child health campus, which also includes the PSEG Children’s Specialized Hospital (for acute Rehabilitation) and the Child Health Institute of NJ. The children’s hospital is adjacent to the RWJUH adult hospital which is connected via a bridge to the Rutgers Cancer Institute of NJ – the only NCI designated center in the state of New Jersey.Our cardiologists participate in onsite pediatric cardiology coverage, both ambulatory and inpatient as well as provide telemedicine coverage, on call, weekend and holiday coverage. We are seeking a candidate who has a passion for teaching and enjoys caring for children with a wide variety of conditions including those who are medically complex. We value leadership. Applicants with research training and a portfolio of scholarly productivity are encouraged. As a part of Rutgers University RWJMS faculty have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues in the basic and social sciences, other clinical arms of the university (e.g. Social Work, Pharmacy) and the Rutgers School of Public Health, among others.
