The Director of Research, Data, Assessment, and Evaluation & Math Support is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and reporting the results of district-wide assessment programs and other evaluative measures used by the district. He/she is responsible for organizing and coordinating the administration of district-wide assessments. In addition, the director conducts ongoing, comprehensive needs assessment of the district’s students and staff and identifies & recommends modifications to administration. Furthermore, the director is also accountable for coordinating the planning, research, and evaluation efforts related to assessment and accountability within the school district. The job entails overseeing assessment activities and conducting evaluations, making recommendations based on the findings, and ensuring that the assessment programs are operating effectively and measuring the intended outcomes. This position is crucial for the efficient functioning and continuous improvement of the school district's assessment processes and contributes significantly to the overall development and success of the district's educational programs for maximum impact of student performances. The position also requires providing K-12 math instructional support.Essential Functions

Create and submit district, state, and federal reports (Exhibit G, Aerie, MCCC, CRDC, 21CCLC, ADSIS, etc.)Coordinate, support, analyze, and provide reporting for standardized testing (FAST, NWEA, MCA, ACCESS, etc.)Coordinate, support, analyze, and provide reporting for local and common assessments (unit & benchmark)Coaching & support secondary math instructionDesign, build, implement, and evaluate data and assessment systems and processes to promote positive student growth and achievementConduct research and evaluations via surveys, focus groups, interviews, etc.Collect, analyze, and provide reporting on various data (academic & non-academic)Import/Extract all standardized assessment data onto ICConduct training and professional development on how to effectively use dataPerform other duties as assigned by the supervisorQualifications

Hold a valid MN 5-12 math teaching licenseHave 5+ years of teaching experience in secondary mathematicsHave 3+ years of coaching and mentoring secondary mathematicsStrong Excel & Google Sheets skills - aggregate large amounts of data, create pivot tables, use advanced formulas, and clean large amounts of dataCreate best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualizationHave specialized training in data mining, evaluation, and visualizationHave advanced experience with Infinite Campus - Ad hoc reporting, file uploading, report creating, importing and exporting assessment data, MCCC, CRDC, etc.Have knowledge of best practices, instructional strategies, classroom management, and behavior managementDemonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills with colleagues, students, and familiesDemonstrate respect for children, colleagues, parents, and school leadershipCan establish rapport and trusting relationships with people from diverse identities and cultural backgrounds.Has the ability to build deep understanding of data and implement strategies for classroom data integrationServe as a role model for promoting effective instruction and professionalismHaving knowledge of Positive Behavior Intervention & Supports (PBIS) and Responsive Classroom is a plusHaving extensive knowledge of the MN Mathematics BenchmarksBelieve in and support the vision and mission of PSAInstitution Description
