Shipping and Receiving Technician

Position Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Technician handles the preparation and shipment of orders, receives and checks incoming materials, and keeps accurate records. This role supports the company's quality standards and requires good communication and multitasking skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and Ship Orders

   • Put together customer orders and get them ready for shipping.
   • Record shipment details like weight and shipping charges.

2. Receive and Check Materials

   • Receive incoming materials and supplies.
   • Unpack and inspect materials for damages or mistakes.
   • Report any issues to the accounting department.

3. Notify and Deliver Received Goods

   • Inform the right people or departments about received goods.
   • Ensure materials are delivered to the proper departments.

4. Complete Reports

   • Fill out shipping and receiving reports.
   • Get confirmation of materials delivered.

5. Audit Finished Goods

   • Check finished goods daily to ensure accuracy and quality.

6. Maintain Filing System

   • Keep an organized and accurate filing system for traceability.

7. Stage/Destage Products

   • Move products as necessary.
   • Provide operators with necessary trays and materials.

8. Process Parts

   • Pack parts and verify their counts.

9. Deliver and Pick Up Parts

   • Deliver and pick up parts as needed.

10. Support Quality Management

    • Follow company quality management standards.

Requirements:

• Experience:
  • 2-4 years in a similar role.
• Skills and Knowledge:
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel; IQMS knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to understand work instructions.
  • Good at handling multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication skills.
• Other Requirements:
  • Good driving record.
  • Willingness to work flexible and extra hours.
  • Completion of required training.

Work Environment/Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and move around as needed.
• Routine movement around the manufacturing floor.
• Lift up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques.
• Occasional exposure to noise, dust, odors, and fumes.
• Follow all safety rules and wear necessary protective gear.
