Job Details:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Controller to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities of our company. This includes the preparation of financial reports, direct investment activities, and implementation of cash/capital management strategies. As a key member of the executive management team, the Permanent Controller will report to the CEO and assume a strategic role in the overall financial management of the company. The ideal candidate has a proven industry experience as a Controller, is familiar with our industry's unique financial challenges and opportunities, and is ready to make a substantial impact on our company's success.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all company's accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
2. Coordinate the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, and report variances.
3. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
4. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
5. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
6. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
7. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
8. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
9. Additional controller duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation required.
3. Minimum 5 years of proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
4. 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
5. Advanced degree in Accounting.
6. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
7. Experience with creating financial statements.
8. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
9. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
10. Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
11. Solid experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
