Together we welcome around 2+ million passengers a year and we are rapidly growing.ADG owns (via leases with the Australian and Northern Territory Governments) and operates these airports, has a significant investment portfolio across hotels, property and utilities, and continues to invest in major infrastructure across Northern Australia.Our General Counsel & Co-Sec RoleReporting to the CFO, the successful applicant will work across a range of areas, including (but not limited to) legal advisory and projects, company secretarial, compliance, risk and acquisitions.As well as providing corporate and commercial advice, dealing with transactions and projects and working collaboratively with various teams, this role will allow you to use a range of skills and help ADG achieve its strategic objectives. You will also provide effective advice on and manage company secretarial and regulatory issues.A senior role, you will provide leadership and guidance to a small team of internal or seconded staff, assist executives pragmatically with legal advice, and manage relationships with external law firms. While Cairns based, you will be required to travel to other ADG locations from time to time.The General Counsel We SeekTo be considered for the role you will have around 7 or more years of quality training and experience gained in either a leading law firm or in-house and an interest in aviation/airports or projects. You will have a background in either commercial, energy, property, construction/infrastructure and enjoy working in a hands-on role, contributing as part of a team, and providing practical, considered and commercial advice.In addition to the above, you will understand the role requires not just technical skills but the willingness to contribute to leadership, tone, and culture.
