Our programs meet the needs of people, rather than demanding that people meet the needs of our programs.JOB SUMMARY:Community Forward SF is hiring a Deputy Director of Clinical Services (DDCS) for our Mental Health Outpatient Program (MHOP). The program provides wrap-around mental and behavioral health services embedded within Community Forward sites, including A Woman’s Place, A Woman’s Place Drop-In Center, The Eddy Street Apartments, and The Coronado Hotel.The Deputy Director of Clinical Services will oversee the daily operations of MHOP clinical staff, complete monthly reports, facilitate group and individual counseling sessions, provide educational services, maintain client records, ensure compliance and quality improvement of charts, and facilitate individual supervision sessions.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Oversee daily operations of clinical services in the Mental Health Outpatient Program, HIV CARE Program, and Substance Use Disorder programming.Complete monthly Mental Health Outpatient, ARIES, and SUD reports.Provide individual supervision for MHOP clinical staff across sites on a weekly basis.Assess, diagnose, and treat clients while also maintaining a client caseload.Assist with new Mental Health Clinician orientation.Lead MHOP caseload assignment and management.Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.Maintain accurate and timely client charts.Review progress notes, assessments, and treatment plans of care to ensure compliance and quality assurance of documentation.Assist in monthly chart review & PURQC Committee processes.Assist in maintaining all program policies, procedures, and goals regarding Units of Service, Performance Objectives, and Staff Activity.Assist with staff training, evaluation, and continuing education.Respond effectively to grievances and client concerns.Assist in CQI of the existing program and development of new programs.Interact effectively with city departments, provider partners, funders, volunteers, and potential donors, including the SFDPH HIV Services office, HIV/AIDS providers, SUD providers, and mental health professionals.Serve as on-call backup for staff outages.Adhere to established policies and procedures.Training and meeting attendance.Other duties as assigned.BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE:Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related human service field.Registration with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board of Psychology as an ASW, AMFT, APCC, or Psychological Associate.Have full billing privileges with Medi-Cal and the SF Department of Public Health.Two years minimum current experience in individual and group counseling and client caseload management.Experience providing managerial oversight and individual supervision.Extensive understanding of homelessness, trauma, DV/IPV, HIV/AIDS, substance use disorder and recovery, mental health disorders and neurodiversity, and systems of oppression.Ability to educate, teach, train, and evaluate clinical staff.Ability to engage with others in a positive, energetic, helpful, and trauma-informed manner.Ability to manage multiple projects at once.Experience working with people from various cultures and backgrounds.Strong self-awareness, cultural humility, and commitment to personal praxis.Proficiency with MS Office and G-Suite. Ability to work in a networked computer environment.CPR and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire.TB clearance and proof of COVID-19 vaccination within 7 days of hire.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Multicultural, multilingual.Passion for and experience working with at-risk client populations.Excellent organizational and administrative skills.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of San Francisco community resources and neighborhoods.Knowledge and familiarity with San Francisco billing databases (i.e. EPIC).
