Job Description - Pediatrician - CNPA Foggy Bottom/Capitol Hill (Part-time) (230003KB)DescriptionThe Pediatrician is responsible for the comprehensive care of patients in the Children's Pediatrician & Associates practices, including appropriate documentation and reporting, supervision of assigned clinical and non-clinical staff, and participation in administrative & quality improvement activities and regularly scheduled provider meetings.We are seeking a part-time board certified/board eligible general pediatrician for our Foggy Bottom and Capitol Hill satellite offices. This is a busy downtown practice with a diverse patient base, offering a competitive salary with a comprehensive benefits package and the possibility of a productivity bonus. There is an opportunity for an academic appointment at the George Washington School of Medicine and Health Sciences. No hospital or nursery duties are required; nurse triage coverage for night & weekend call is provided. Responsibilities include direct patient care for patients from birth to 21 years old, timely charting and billing via EMR, as well as clinical supervision and teaching of pediatric residents. Interest in teaching is required; experience preferred.QualificationsMinimum EducationMedical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) (Required)Required Skills/KnowledgeKnowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in pediatrics.Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for the delivery of medical care.Ability to function independently in evaluating patient problems and developing a patient care plan.Ability to incorporate ethical concepts into patient care and discuss these with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.Ability to supervise, advise, and train clinical professionals and/or students in pediatrics.Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and ability to remain current on developments in primary care pediatrics.Required Licenses and CertificationsFully licensed and credentialed attending physician on the medical staff of Children’s National Medical Center.Completion of residency in pediatrics.
