Responsible for supporting various aspects of a project (customer support, travel, reporting, and payment processes) while also handling communication and outreach.Creates and edits project-related content, such as reports, deliverables, presentations, and portal content, ensuring content is accurate and aligned with the project's objectives and requirements.Organizes meetings, prepares agendas, documents, disseminates meeting minutes, and project updates and progress reports.Collaborates with project team members, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure effective communication and coordination, supporting team members, fostering a positive team environment, and contributing to the overall success of the project.Conference planning, coordination, and management, including but not limited to:Liaison between Government and Conference VendorsPlan events with attention to financial and time constraintsBook venues and schedule speakersResearch vendors and choose the best combination of quality and costNegotiate with vendors to achieve the most favorable terms for the DoDManage all event operations (preparing venue, registration, etc.)Quality checks for the event to ensure everything meets standardsOversee and coordinate travel arrangements and accommodations for participants and guestsEvaluate event’s success and submit Lessons Learned reportSupports other corporate-level projects/tasks as required.Required: Years of Experience
3-5 years Government project coordination and event/conference management.Required: Degree
Degree in business, management, hospitality management, public relations, or relevant field is preferred.Required: Experience
Experience in project and risk management, including supporting multiple concurrent complex projects from initiation to completion, coordinating project activities, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.Strong experience in creating and editing project-related content, such as deliverables, spreadsheets, reports, minutes, agendas, and presentations.Experience in tracking and evaluating the effectiveness of project progress and outcomes.Experience coordinating and planning events (e.g., large meetings, conferences, workshops) with a demonstrated track record of organizing successful events.Experience with communicating (orally or in writing) to senior government leadership on event planning and activities.Experience managing multiple, concurrent tasks and priorities.Experience with budgetary program expense monitoring and tracking.Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher) and Adobe Pro.Exceptional communication (verbal & written), analytical, and problem-solving skills.Organized and detail-oriented.Able to travel to meetings, program reviews, events, or conferences.Required: Clearance
