Summary:

The Director of Talent Acquisition at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our recruiting team supporting efforts to provide direction, planning, and development of recruiting strategies to attract, proactively build, and maintain a quality talent pipeline, and fill open positions by sourcing passive and active candidates. This position involves assessing external labor market conditions, developing the most effective sources/channels/methods to recruit talent for current and future workforce needs. You will execute a strategy that builds and maintains relationships with potential candidates, recruitment agencies, schools, and associations to position Pacific Seafood as the employer of choice in the community. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, with a can-do approach to build our employer brand, meet our business objectives, and be consistent with Pacific Seafood’s Mission, Vision, and Values.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Team Management:Be a role model in projecting and applying The Pacific Group Diamond Philosophy (Productivity, Quality, Excellence and Teamwork) and promote teamwork at all times.Set direction, priorities, and metrics to inspire the recruiting team; develop a team culture of accountability, direct communication, and creative problem-solving; coach and lead team in pursuit of company goals and individualized career development.Manage the overall recruiting strategy and process focused on developing hiring plans, creative sourcing solutions that result in a highly rated candidate and hiring manager experience.Create hiring strategies & events to support seasonal hiring, including the H2B Visa Program.Senior Leadership Sourcing & Workforce Planning:Consult with Executive Management, HR teams, and location Management to understand and fill relevant talent gaps.Serve as a key partner to business leaders by providing competitive intelligence on the market and candidate landscape to inform talent decisions.Utilize innovative sourcing techniques to attract a diverse pool of candidates, including passive candidates, through social media, professional networks, and other channels.Collaborate with the HR team to develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.Strategically and pro-actively build talent pipelines, conduct annual manpower forecasting and continual workforce planning.Programs, Systems, & Vendor Management:Manage our HR software providers and sourcing/job board vendors; including, but not limited to: Jazz HR ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, UKG, etc.Develop and manage vendor relationships with talent agencies and recruiting partners, including: Paradox AI, Circa, Bridge VMS, United Work & Travel, etc.Negotiate contract terms with external staffing agencies, in alignment with Legal Department.Oversight for College & University relations, including management of our Handshake account.Responsible for Internship Program – Student sourcing, selection process, and ongoing communication with both internal stakeholders and student interns.Employer Branding & Candidate Experience:Create and manage the content & platforms for recruitment marketing collateral & materials.Collaborate with Marketing to create recruiting campaigns that leverage social media platforms, career’s website (www.careers.fish) and grow our employer brand.Develop and execute employer branding strategies to enhance the organization's external reputation.Ensure a positive candidate experience, strengthening the employer brand through enhanced candidate experience, oversight of candidate experience internally and externally, and contributing to making the company an employer of choice in the community.Develop, implement and train HR & hiring manager on effective interviewing techniques to ensure a positive candidate experience and quality overall talent selection process.Compliance & Reporting:Ensure all applicable federal, state, and local laws governing candidate sourcing and selection are being met in support of our affirmative action plan goals; conduct regular internal audit to ensure compliance.Build a data-informed approach with KPI tracking tools to gather data and apply insights to maximize ROI on tactical recruitment activities (i.e. career fairs, hiring events, agencies, advertising).Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements related to talent acquisition, ensuring compliance at all times.Assist HR Leadership with Compensation strategy and related system management.What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:Required:BA/BS degree in Human Resources Management, or related field or a combination of relevant experience and training.Minimum 5 years of experience managing full-cycle recruiting, including leading teams to achieve staffing goals.2 years’ + experience overseeing AAP, EEO, OFCCP and ADA programs and policies.Extensive understanding of Applicant Tracking System (ATS) management, including implementation, integrations, reporting, system training, and overall optimization of the tool.Previous experience creating employer branding content and managing social media campaigns.Extensive knowledge and related experience in creating, training and conducting behavioral and competency based interviewing processes.Experience sourcing top talent, developing talent pipelines, and maintaining long-term strategic relationship with candidates both internally and externally.Sound knowledge and experience of various sourcing techniques/tools (i.e. professional platforms, social media networks), HRIS, and labor regulations.Ability to travel 20% of the time, as required.Preferred:Previous experience recruiting in the food industry or working for vertically integrated organizations.Familiarity with modern/emerging talent acquisition resources, particularly Artificial Intelligence tools.Total compensation:At Pacific Seafood your base wage is only a portion of your overall compensation package.
