A law firm in Torrance, CA, is seeking a Professional Liability Attorney with 4-12 years of experience to manage a full litigation caseload involving a wide array of professional liability matters. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in handling malpractice cases and claims against attorneys, insurance agents/brokers, accountants, and real estate agents. The role involves working cases from inception through resolution, including client communication, depositions, and trials. Superior academic credentials and excellent communication skills are essential.Key Responsibilities:Manage a full caseload of professional liability litigation matters, including malpractice claims and cases against attorneys, insurance agents/brokers, accountants, and real estate agents.Handle cases from inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.Communicate regularly with clients to provide status reports and updates on case progress.Take and defend depositions, participate in settlement negotiations, and represent clients in court trials.Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and litigation efforts.Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with clients and other legal professionals.Manage case files and documentation efficiently, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court requirements.Provide expert legal advice and counsel on professional liability matters.Requirements:4-12 years of experience in handling business litigation, with a strong preference for experience in legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and/or other professional liability matters.J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.Admission to the California Bar.Superior academic credentials from a nationally recognized law school.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Proven ability to manage multiple cases and priorities effectively.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Accounting, etc.).Certifications:Admission to the California Bar.Skills and Abilities:Extensive experience in professional liability litigation, including handling malpractice cases and claims against various professionals.Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution effectively.Superior written and verbal communication skills.Strong research and analytical abilities.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong client service orientation and professional demeanor.Benefits Offered:Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.Retirement plan options, including a 401(k) plan.Paid time off and holidays.Professional development opportunities and continuing education.Supportive work environment with opportunities for career advancement.
