Future Chefs prepares Boston high school students to leave high school ready for quality employment and post-secondary education. With a focus on positive youth development, Future Chefs provides culinary training and authentic work-based learning to prepare teens with the hard skills they will need to succeed in the culinary industry and most importantly the job readiness skills to succeed in any field.Future Chefs’ model is based on the belief that every student is unique and flourishes in respectful, safe, stimulating settings that provide opportunities for growth, and relationships with caring, supportive adults who honor students’ lived experiences.Responsibilities

Working under the Director of Programs and Partnerships, the Senior Youth Services Manager will partner with the Senior Culinary Manager, the Culinary Operations Manager and the Data Manager to ensure that all programming is successfully steeped in Positive Youth Development, Project-Based Learning best practices, and delivered through the lenses of Social Justice and Cultural Sensitivity. The Senior Youth Services Manager will supervise the work of youth services staff members on the program team, provide guidance and structure for the day-to-day youth services work and ensure that the data protocols are implemented by Student Services staff.Essential FunctionsProgram Development and Leadership - 40%Along with the Director of Programs and Partnerships, serves as the Lead Youth Development Expert.Uphold and model Future Chefs’ Positive Youth Development practices and standards.Manage the planning and coordination of FC Prepares, FC Delivers After School, and summer programs in collaboration with the Senior Culinary Manager.Uphold systems to assess, collect, maintain, and analyze program data in collaboration with the Data Manager.Supervise line staff in collecting outcomes and demographics data.Implement short and long-range program goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures and maintain day-to-day quality of programming.Manage youth engagement in community outreach activities for programming.Represent Future Chefs to various partners, including community organizations, schools, and youth organizations as needed.Recommend changes to program policies and procedures; may serve on program planning and organization policy-making committees.Provide expertise in program development.Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.Youth Services Staff Management and Development - 50%Manage and oversee the daily administrative components of youth services programming.Participate in youth services staffing decisions, including recruiting, hiring, training and performance evaluations.Recommend and schedule professional development related to youth services, youth engagement and values-based programming.Oversee and manage supervision of alumni and youth leaders/ambassadors.Ensure all program sessions are adequately staffed and work with other managers to ensure that staff competencies align with program needs.Organization and Development Support - 10%Support youth leaders in external facing roles (development/fundraising events, organizational ambassadorship, youth recruitment efforts).Manage youth services staff for on-site events.Ensure that media releases are signed and available for press.May serve as Youth Services staff liaison to the Leadership Team.Qualifications

We will consider exceptional candidates who demonstrate a strong combination of the specific qualifications and skills described below.Demonstrated commitment to upholding diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in a youth-centered and community-based setting.3+ years’ experience managing youth-serving staff in a positive youth development program or equivalent setting.Passion for working with people and supporting a team.Strong interpersonal, communication, and facilitation skills.Experience creating work plans, conducting performance reviews and overseeing the delivery of youth-centered activities.Experience with staff development and training.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Experience with technology (word processing, spreadsheets, databases, web applications, etc.)Willingness to learn new skills, processes, and technologies.Master’s level or equivalent Mental Health, Counseling and/or Teacher training.An open and respectful work style.Special Job RequirementsAbility to work flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed.Must pass CORI/SORI background check.Compensation and Benefits

Work will be primarily performed onsite.Compensation:

The salary range for this position is $68,000 - $78,000/yr. and is commensurate with experience.Benefits:
