What You'll Do:
Implement and maintain CII networks and supporting internal communication systems for SP PowerGrid (SPPG) business.
Engineer, design and deploy Operation Technology (OT)/IT optical networks services and solutions including DWDM (Dense wavelength division multiplexing), ODN (Optical Digital Network), PABx (Telephony) for tunnels and substations.
Identify improvement opportunities in the maintenance process of existing systems for better efficiency and quality.
Develop infrastructure network observability strategic roadmaps, configure monitoring metrics and trending based on business and technical requirements.
Ensure infrastructure adheres to company policy and standards and is compliant with CSA act.
Identify, recommend, and lead continuous network infrastructure improvement efforts by using tools to monitor the environment.
In-depth experience in design network with security concepts; and understand the process flow of security by design.
Support projects related to all infrastructure components data centre consolidation, migration, collocation, network upgrade, expansion.
Maintenance and support of fibre usage, fibre diversion requests to minimize impact to operational systems.
Review and assess CVE releases that have an impact on the environment and propose solutions by either doing workarounds or patching the affected equipment.
Maintain vulnerability and patch management process, including deployment of patches.
Manage vendors that are supporting the environment.
Adhere to company procurement process.
Strive for quality and customer satisfaction in the projects assigned.
Travelling will be required within Singapore.
Standby will be required on a scheduled basis.
What You'll Need:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science/IT or related with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience.
Must be CCNA or CCNP certified. CISSP will be an advantage.
Proficient in various brands of firewall (e.g., Checkpoint, Fortinet, Palo Alto) and monitoring tools.
Proven competency in supporting, maintenance and troubleshooting for areas in:
Layer 2 and 3 Switching and Routing
Firewalls management
DWDM, ODN and PABx
A good team player with good communications and interpersonal skills and demonstrate enthusiasm and drive for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Steadfast mindset and able to work within tight schedules.
Excellent troubleshooting skills and able to resolve technical issues independently.
Understanding of ITIL processes and ISO27001 processes.
