The final salary for this position is dependent upon total Education and ExperienceThe University of New Mexico's College of Arts & Sciences is seeking an innovative and collaborative person to join our team as the Communications and Marketing Manager. This position will report directly to the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences. The successful candidate will have a passion for storytelling through various means, be an excellent communicator who can integrate new technologies into the College's marketing strategy, have strong management skills, and the ability to work with various groups, including Associate Deans, College staff, Department, School, Program, Center and Institute leaders.The manager's core responsibilities include:Working with College of Arts & Sciences' units to highlight achievements and activitiesDeveloping and implementing a strategic plan for the marketing and communications of the CollegeOverseeing the content and redesign of the College website to enhance user experience and engagementCollaborating with internal and external stakeholdersApplying current marketing concepts and techniques to the university environmentSupervising communications and marketing staff and identifying professional development opportunitiesEstablishing a strong digital presence for the CollegeSee the Position Description for additional information.Conditions of Employment

Bachelor's degree; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience.Preferred Qualifications

Strong skills in journalistic-style writing and editingExperience in public relations, with knowledge of current marketing and communications trends in higher educationDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical information to a broad audienceDemonstrated experience managing social media platforms and website contentExperience working with creative professionals (website designers, photographers, videographers, graphic designers) to deliver materials and execute projectsExperience developing written and graphic design materials for public useStrong management and organizational skills to meet deadlines when working on multiple projectsStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaborativelyExperience in higher education marketing and communicationsCommitment to working effectively in a diverse work environmentCampus
