Headquartered in Huntington Beach, CA, our HQ includes an 80,000 ft. fabrication facility and studio, with additional offices in NY, Las Vegas, and Nashville, and remote employees across the country and partners around the world.FG|PG BENEFITS:Comprehensive benefits include medical and dentalLife insurance12 paid Holidays (including Birthday)Two weeks of accrued vacationFlex workdaysNew Business Referral ProgramOptions for vision, 401k, and supplemental insuranceSUMMARY:The Senior Designer is responsible for designing projects within budget; planning and illustrating concepts by studying materials and designing rough layouts of art and copy (arrangement, size, type size, and style); reviewing and analyzing submitted projects in accordance with client requirements; maintaining hardware (archiving graphic, digital files); maintaining materials records; following projects through production to determine changes or improvement for future; reviewing designs after the project to determine the effectiveness and define problems specific project.ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Design creative brand experiences across multiple environments, including trade show exhibits, events, and temporary and permanent installations. Communicates artistic themes, marketing objectives, and functional benefits of exhibit designs.Create high-quality presentations, visualizations, and renderings, sharing 3D design files with partners, graphic design, and project and account management departments.Present ideas as sketches, scale plans, computer-generated visuals, and models.Consult with clients on communication and functional needs.Work under moderate supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.Consult with owners and sales staff and articulate the merit of their work as it benefits the client.Strategically and professionally present complex ideas and designs to partners and clients during design meetings via face-to-face, phone, and email.Maintain electronic files, libraries, and/or materials samples.Integrate system and custom elements into purchase and rental projects ranging from small inline exhibits to large custom exhibits.Design within budgets, due dates, and design requirements for each project.Partner and take a lead role with Account Management on RFP presentations, including designing the Exhibit and the presentation, as well as presenting the design portion of the project to prospective clients.Assist the Project Managers/Account Management with design breakouts and overall specs for quoting.Take design direction from the partners, clients, sales representatives, and senior colleagues.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following: architecture, environmental design, retail design, interior design, industrial design, exhibit design or experiential design.Previous experience in the exhibit, trade shows, experiential marketing, and event planning.Minimum 5 years of experience working in Trade show/Event Design.Ability to work independently on all projects, both small and large.Exceptional knowledge but still actively learns about and applies new design trends and skills.Ability to assess designs and know when to scale back as needed and come up with alternate solutions as necessary.Ability to mentor and provide guidance and knowledge about design.Skills in 3D modeling, concept sketching, environmental branding, creative writing, floor plan/space development, presentation layouts, basic construction drawings, and familiarity with Adobe Suite software.LOCATION:We are looking for someone who can work out of our Huntington Beach, CA, Headquarters.DIVERSITY COMMITMENT:FG|PG does not discriminate based on race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, age, status as a protected veteran, status as an individual with a disability, or other applicable legally protected characteristics (including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions).
