Salary:
This is a part-time role with a salary of up to £5438 with a full-time equivalent salary of up to £27,138 per annum.
Working Hours:
8 hours per week, the role can be worked over 2 days between Monday and Wednesday, 36 weeks per year.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Counsellor to join our Student Services department. The purpose of the role is to provide support to students who are affected by mental health issues, working in a confidential setting to provide non-directive support to students in exploring feelings, anxieties, and life events that impact on their emotional wellbeing.
Minimum Requirements:
GCSE or equivalent (includes Maths and English A* – C)
Level 4 Diploma in Counselling or equivalent degree
The ability to offer practical support and advice to students and deal with difficult and challenging situations
BACP registered
Experience of successful work within an appropriate context with people with mental health difficulties
Currently engaged with supervision
This role requires you to engage in regulatory activity in the FE sector. The full definition of regulatory activity is set out in the Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups Act 2006 as amended by the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012.

Grantham College operates a 4-day working week. Staff benefit from a reduction in working hours with full pay. You will work core hours (based on a full-time equivalent contract) of Monday to Thursday, working a Friday morning once a month.
