A law firm in Mt. Laurel, NJ, is seeking a Casualty Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of experience in handling casualty cases, with a strong foundation in personal injury, premises liability, and other general liability matters. The role requires excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, along with the ability to manage a caseload from inception through resolution. Candidates must be admitted to the Bar.Duties:Manage and oversee a caseload of casualty cases, including personal injury, premises liability, and other general liability matters.Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs related to casualty cases.Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies and development.Handle all aspects of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, conducting depositions, and managing document production.Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.Provide clients with legal counsel and advice on casualty-related matters.Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on complex cases and litigation strategies.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes efficiently.Prepare and present oral arguments in court, as well as during settlement negotiations.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal precedents affecting casualty cases.Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in the legal process.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Admission to the Bar in New Jersey.2-6 years of experience in casualty law, including personal injury, premises liability, and general liability cases.Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and meet deadlines.Skills:Strong legal research and writing skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple cases simultaneously.Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate legal concepts to clients and other parties.Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality legal work.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
