We are looking for an organized, eager, and engaging Admissions Counselor. This is a twelve-month position with the primary objective of recruiting targeted students to Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. The counselor will assist in developing and implementing appropriate strategies to meet individual and organized recruiting goals. This includes working with prospective students and their families about their college choice, promoting the University, and assisting in all related campus events.ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage a recruiting territorySome recruiting travel along with evening and weekend work may be required

Coordinate inquiries and initiate the appropriate follow-up for each studentWork with students from beginning to end of their enrollment process
Assist in answering any questions that the student may haveConduct campus and virtual visitsConnect with faculty and staff that may be able to assistInitiate follow-up and communication with students via call, text, and email
Assist with special recruiting goalsWork closely with support staffParticipate in Enrollment Management meetingsComplete weekly and monthly progress reportsRepresent the admissions office in a professional manner at and off campus eventsOther duties as assignedSKILLS/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityOne or two years of related experience or trainingSales experience is preferredQUALIFICATIONS:Computer knowledge
Efficient in Word and ExcelBasic typing and calculator skillsAbility to communicate effectively on a variety of platforms
