This position is located at our downtown Chicago Headquarters (500 W Monroe) and requires onsite work up to 4 days per week.

Job Description

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for identifying top talent? We're looking for a Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition to oversee our recruitment efforts for critical areas, including the hiring of visiting and contributing faculty (approximately 1200 hires annually) and essential student support positions such as enrollment/admissions, student finance, and registrar.

In this role, you will manage a team of 5 direct reports and a total team size of 12 recruiters/leaders. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, you will work closely with business leaders to ensure recruitment standards are met and talent is delivered quickly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

Partner with HR and institutional leadership to understand talent needs, devise effective sourcing strategies, and build a robust talent pipeline.Performance Management:

Maintain a dashboard of Talent Acquisition effectiveness, including metrics like time to fill, cost per hire, candidate slate quality, and client satisfaction. Develop and implement strategies to enhance performance.Team Development:

Select, develop, motivate, and retain a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition professionals. Set goals, manage activities, and ensure the delivery of results against Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and hiring needs.Recruitment Process Management:

Ensure consistent sourcing and hiring processes, including the consistent use of our ATS (SmartRecruiters) and satisfaction surveys for hiring managers and candidates. Become an expert in our internal hiring process.Compensation Insights:

Provide input on compensation, benefits, or perquisites to attract quality candidates.Candidate Experience:

Ensure all non-selected candidates have a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.Data Management:

Maintain accurate applicant records and data, ensuring compliance with all phases of the employment process.Leadership Contribution:

Serve as a key member of the Talent Acquisition Leadership team, leading continuous improvement projects to enhance service delivery to candidates and clients.Direct Recruitment:

Source, screen, and hire candidates for various positions in alignment with job profiles. Conduct initial client engagement meetings, initiate requisitions, post ads, and proactively source candidates through various channels.Additional Duties:

Complete other duties as assigned.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.Experience managing a recruitment function with direct reports is required.8 years of full life cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3 years of experience regularly filling management-level positions.Previous corporate and agency recruiting experience is preferred.Demonstrated track record of sourcing difficult-to-fill positions.Skills

Proficiency in reporting and metrics.Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.Comfort and effectiveness in dealing with ambiguous situations.Ability to leverage talent acquisition and HR technology.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Strong client relationship, negotiation, and influencing skills.Ability to build relationships, recruit candidates, and make strong selection recommendations.Additional Information

In support of the pay transparency laws enacted across the country, the expected salary range for this position is between $80,336.75 and $140,851.54. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
