The Principal, People Partner, is a strategic and hands-on role that provides full cycle Human Resources support to our business. The role is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support, and driving HR functional excellence and process improvement. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping to shape the company's overall HR strategy to drive business success. Niantic Labs is a hybrid work environment. You will be required to be in the office a minimum of three days per week, Monday - Wednesday. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership: Partner with senior leaders to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business. Serve as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues. Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning. Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Performance Management: Work with leaders to develop and implement performance management programs. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Talent Acquisition: Collaborate with recruitment team to attract and retain top talent. Partner with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and provide recruitment strategy support. Learning and Development: Identify training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs. Participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follow up to ensure training objectives are met. Change Management: Lead HR projects, including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, and integrations. Implement change management strategies to support business initiatives and improve organizational effectiveness. Compensation and Benefits: Provide guidance and input on business unit compensation and benefits strategies. Work with compensation and benefits teams to develop competitive and cost-effective plans. Diversity and Inclusion: Champion initiatives to promote a diverse and inclusive workplace. Support and develop a diverse pipeline of talent. Data Analytics and Reporting: Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive data-driven decisions. Provide reports and analysis on key HR metrics and trends. Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a People Partner/HRBP role or similar capacity. Experience partnering with Engineering, Product Management, or technical client groups. Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice. Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including synchronous interactions with others. Skills:

Strong business acumen and ability to align HR strategy with business goals. Demonstrated experience with organizational change and project management. Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related technologies. In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices. The total compensation package for this position includes a new hire offer base salary range of $214,200 - $238,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Individual pay within this salary range is determined by work location and additional factors, including assessed job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
