PACCAR Inc is recognized as a global leader in the commercial vehicle, financial, and customer service fields with internationally recognized brands such as Kenworth, Peterbilt, and DAF trucks.Position SummaryPACCAR's Global Electronics department has an opening for a Technical Project Manager - Embedded Systems. This position will lead vehicle function development through the V-Cycle Development Process from requirements definition through system validation for their assigned projects. The successful candidate will have technical knowledge gained through Requirement development, SW development, and SW testing.Job Functions/ResponsibilitiesLead product development through initial design concepts, project budget and schedule development, risk identification, and support quality product implementations.Coordinate technical development of components (both hardware and software) with technical leads.Serve as the liaison between truck division Program Managers and Embedded Engineering teams.Ensure intellectual property coverage for new Embedded Engineering technical ideas.Lead technical review meetings related to assigned projects.Coordinate functional safety reviews and track completion of safety concepts.Build and present product development updates to senior leadership.Lead continuous improvement for software design and validation processes.Support ASPICE process integration throughout PACCAR.Adhere to PACCAR global corporate standards for embedded system development and validation.Support department staff with training on procedures and processes related to embedded systems.Skills & QualificationsRequired

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degree.5+ years of experience in the Automotive field.Excellent communication skills, time management skills, and flexibility with assigned tasks.Experience using project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Azure DevOps, Jira).Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to 2 weeks at a time, no more than 10% yearly.

Desired

Master's degree, PMP certification, PE license, or similar additional education and certification.Experience with automotive or commercial vehicle networks, such as CAN, SAE J1939, and LIN.
