Manager, Commercial Operations & Media SolutionsPosition Summary and Key Responsibilities

The USOPP Business Operations team is searching for a Manager, Commercial Operations & Media Solutions to join the team designing and developing the commercial program across LA28 and Team USA. Reporting to the Senior Director, Business Operations, this requires an analytical thinker able to build strategic plans and ensure their operational delivery through hands-on program management. Key to this role’s success is developing strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

As Manager, Commercial Operations & Media Solutions, the candidate will lead and support the following activities, in collaboration with the Senior Director and connected LA28/USOPP departments:

Development of media & exposure-based commercial assets, including LA28 media rights, Out-of-Home (OOH) Advertising, sponsor branding/signage, digital & social assets, and other opportunities to be developed.

Business operations and administration to support the management of the commercial team, including cross-functional coordination with finance, legal, strategy, project management, and other internal functional areas.

Management of key LA28/USOPP Stakeholder relationships to ensure successful commercial delivery; relationships include the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee, the International Olympic Committee, and the International Paralympic Committee.

Media rights: Manage the sales and packaging of LA28’s media rights, including rights to the LA28 Paralympic Games. Work with media sales agent to build the go-to-market strategy and manage rights holder agreements.

OOH: Work with media agency and venue partners to secure OOH inventory. Create communication, sales, and pricing plan to meet LA28 and sponsor needs. Develop, finalize, and rollout sale process and packaging.

Other media/exposure assets: Develop an overall commercial approach for other media/exposure-based assets: identify assets, develop pricing & sales strategy, oversee sales and implementation processes.

Business operations: Work across the USOPP team and other LA28 functional areas to design, develop, and deliver commercial priorities, ranging from new cross-organizational programs to ongoing team administration.

Support the Senior Director, Business Operations, and Chief Operating Officer, USOPP, across executive and board reporting across all commercial activities.

Position Requirements

Experience:

5+ years of direct experience in sports business, marketing, media/advertising, or related environment.

Self-directed/self-starter able to balance a variety of time-sensitive projects.

Strong operational and program execution skills required.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and able to track/manage multiple commercial agreements.

Strong analytical skills, capable of managing and presenting data to support arguments.

Excellent communication and presentation preparation skills.

Ability to build relationships and work successfully with varied audiences (colleagues, business partners, collaborators, customers, vendors/agencies, and senior members of the organization).

Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Team player.

Expectations:

Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders and proven success at building excellent working relationships.

Experience collaborating effectively with multiple teams across different companies, locations, and time zones.

Knowledge and first-hand experience with the media and/or advertising industry.

Knowledge and first-hand experience within the sports business or marketing industry. Experience in the Olympic or Paralympic Movements is a plus (e.g. OCOG, NOC/NPC, IF, NGB, RHB, commercial sponsor, agency).

Ability to apply research & insights to support strategic planning.

Education / Training / Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree Required or equivalent work experience.

Background in Business, Economics, Marketing, Sports Marketing, or Advertising.

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $105,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
