Part-timeJob Location: The Little Nell AspenBudgeted pay rate minimum (actual pay may be adjusted based on experience): $28.00Job category: The Little NellSeason: Year RoundJob Classification: Part-Time RegularOwned and operated by Aspen Hospitality, The Little Nell is Aspen's only Five-Star, Five-Diamond, ski-in/ski-out hotel and offers luxury services and unparalleled access to America's most famous mountain town.SummaryThe General Maintenance Engineer I, II, III is willing and able to perform basic building maintenance projects.Job Posting DeadlineApplications for this position will be accepted until July 30, 2024.Essential Job Functions• Able to perform basic building maintenance, i.e. repairs, small furniture repairs, painting touch-ups, etc.• Able to work with minimal supervision• Maintain a polite and courteous attitude toward hotel guests• Maintain clear and uncluttered work areas• Respond and attend to guest repair requests• Communicate with guests/customers to resolve maintenance issues• Identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for building• Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on all types of equipment, plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical components including lamps, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners; replace electrical switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.• Display basic computer skills• Make Manager aware of guest's comments and complaints• Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook• Report to shift on time.• Comply with all policies and procedures for the Engineering Department, The Little Nell, and Aspen Skiing Company• Familiarity with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management• Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demandMinimum Qualifications• Good command of written and spoken English• Knowledge of basic tools and the proper employment of such toolsSupervision Given and ReceivedGiven: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Received: Works under direct supervision of Director of Engineering. Tasks are assigned according to specific procedures, and work is checked frequently.
