If you are looking for a fun, exciting, and rewarding way to spend your summer working with children AND if you are a creative, high energy person (LEGO-lover a big plus), then Kidizens is the place for you!Kidizens is a unique, innovative enrichment program for 1st through 6th graders (ages 6-12) where “kid citizens” create an entire LEGO city over the course of the week while learning about civics and city planning, government, economics, the environment, and much more.In a super fun and high energy environment, you will be working collaboratively and under the supervision of the Lead Camp Counselor to deliver a high quality summer camp experience. You will be responsible for ensuring daily student check-ins, helping campers (“Young Mayors”) with their daily city-related projects, and assisting children in engaging in problem-solving and critical thinking when their city faces a challenge. In addition, you will aid the campers with fun, creative LEGO-building projects.Ideal candidates are student teachers, college students, and high school graduates with prior summer camp experience. Working with Kidizens is the perfect way to spend your school break, build up professional experience, and is a fantastic addition to any college application.Requirements and Preferred Experience:

Experience working with children in a classroom or camp setting.Possess some classroom and behavioral management skills.Strong communication skills (verbal and written).Innovative and creative self-starter (LEGO builder a plus).Our summer session begins June 6th and ends August 26th. Summer employment will begin May 30th with work hours ranging from 32-40 hours per week.Job Type:

Full-time (June to August, can work select weeks)Compensation:
