Develops and applies advanced methods, theories and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

•Plans, conducts and technically directs projects or major phases of significant projects *•Coordinates efforts of engineers and technical support staff in performance of assigned projects*•Conducts investigations and tests of considerable complexity *•Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with designers or hardware engineers•Generates systems software engineering policies, standards, and procedures•Reviews literature, patents & current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects *•Reviews the completion and implementation of technical products *•Serves as technical expert on development projects•Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services•Provides technical consultation to other departments

Required Experience
Bachelors' degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business or other related field or equivalentMinimum of 8-10 years of related experienceWorking knowledge of current operating systems and programming languages, including Java and PythonExperience with video and Imagery processingExperience with development of Android applicationsExperience with command and control systemsMust be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security clearance within 6 months of hire; US Citizenship requiredPreferred Qualifications
Experience with development in the Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) software development kitsUAS experienceExperience with TAK Server pluginsExperience with cellular and wireless technologiesSecret Security Clearance
