Essential Duties: • The most essential part of this job is programming and operating our Zeiss CMM machine for parts measurements with data analysis for part conformance. • Program for complex machined components. • Maintain CMM equipment per ISO requirements for calibration and CMM annual maintenance. • Assist the Quality Manager in support of customer satisfaction, customer audits and ISO 9001 certification audits. • Daily part inspection dimensional layouts of manufactured parts. • Ability to read and understand part drawings, tolerancing and GD&T. • Interpret GD&T and program the software accordingly. • Communicate documented inspection results to the Quality Manager and manufacturing personnel as necessary. • Maintain gages and gage calibration as required. • Support PPAP approvals for customers such as capability studies, gage repeatability and reproducibility studies, etc., when needed. (Will train if no experience.). • Daily use of Excel spreadsheets and occasional formulas. • Creation of inspection sheet and bubble drawing. • Process and containment of parts with defects or out of tolerance parts. • Perform receiving, in-process and final inspection of product to determine product compliance to specifications, including re-work and scrap activities. • Assistance with corrective actions for non-conformances, as needed. • Perform and maintain gage calibration system. • Contribute to quality procedures and internal auditing. • May perform part operation duties as needed. • Other duties as assigned.
