POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an Information Security Intern for our Summer 2025 internship program! The Information Security (Infosec) intern will assist in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of U.S. Venture by monitoring systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and responding to security requests. This intern will also support the implementation of security measures and compliance with industry standards.
This internship will start May 2025 through August 2025 and is located at our downtown Appleton office.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor work ticket queue
Review vulnerability management
Attend daily stand-up meetings
Project:Preparation for Cyber Security Awareness Month
Project: Information Security Awareness Video Competition
Perform simple security administration tasks
Maintains relevant records and documentation
QUALIFICATIONS
Working toward a degree in Information Security, or comparable preferred
Works under close direction. Uses little discretion in attending to enquiries. Is expected to seek guidance in unexpected situations.
Minimal influence. May work alone or interact with immediate colleagues.
Performs routine activities in a structured environment. Requires assistance in resolving unexpected problems. Participates in the generation of new ideas.
Has sufficient oral and written communication skills for effective engagement with immediate colleagues.
Uses basic systems and tools, applications and processes.
Shows aptitude to learn new technologies and systems.
Demonstrates an organized approach to work. Has basic digital skills to learn and use applications and tools for their role.
Security, privacy, and ethics -understands and complies with organizational standards.
Has basic generic knowledge appropriate to area of work. Applies newly acquired knowledge to develop new skills.
