Network Engineer II

Network Engineer II with Credit One Bank, N.A. (Las Vegas, NV) Job Description: Design and implement computer and information networks, intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures. Support all areas of the bank by providing infrastructure for all business operations. Support data center network and global corporate network utilizing Cisco equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN) and related network technologies. Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, identify, and isolate network technical issues. Server as a mentor to junior Network Engineers. Maintain and monitor network equipment and capacity. Work on systems initiatives and network projects. Maintain network service levels and availability of all site features and functions. Work with external vendors and consultants to diagnose complex network problems and drive resolution. Job Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (including Electrical) or a related field and 3 years of experience. Must have experience in each of the following skills: Designing, analyzing requirements, and providing specifications for the acquisition of new network hardware and software for multi-site environment; Working on network infrastructure-based security appliances, including Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches; Network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and protocols including ACE, ACS, VPN, GRE, IPSEC, IKE, TACACS, RADIUS, ACLs, 802.1x, audits, and log files; Networking and routing protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF (multi-area), for Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortinet; Design, implementation, and management of Cisco Nexus switches in a Data Center environment with Cisco Nexus 9K, 7K, 5K, 2K, VPC, VDC, and Port-channels; Operation of Ethernet LAN switching protocols and standards including VLANs, VLAN aggregation, EtherChannel, PVLANs, Spanning Tree & Rapid Spanning Tree, and 802.1Q; Performing design and deployments for the Cisco data switching technology including Nexus/ACI with Nexus Dashboard; Designing, implementing, and optimizing wireless networks using both Meraki Wireless Solutions with advanced security features including WPA3, EAP-TLS, and multi-factor authentication; Implementing and managing security measures for wireless networks, leveraging Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE); and Network automation with Ansible Tower using YAML and Python (Netmiko and Paramiko).
