We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team. This is your opportunity to join Crown's global organization. We are currently looking for a Mechanic.Position OverviewThis position will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and monitoring the quality of production lines. This position reports directly to the PM&R Supervisor.Duties and Responsibilities-Essential FunctionsStart and maintain machines to determine efficiency and qualityMonitor and problem-solve processes or equipment for quality and productivityComplete quality checks utilizing precision equipment to ensure the product is within all control limitsTake ownership of line equipment which includes daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenanceDiagnose and problem-solve mechanical/electrical problems by utilizing blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogsDismantle and reassemble machinery with hand tools, jacks, hoists, and other applicable tools to complete repairs, changeovers, or maintenance workAbility to use and read measuring equipment to make the necessary adjustments to machinesOwn and operate production equipment following current GMPs and SOPsAdhere to all food safety policies and proceduresPerforms other duties as required or assigned

shift1-3 years of experience working on the preventative maintenance or repair of machineryPreferred requirementsCertification from a technical trade schoolPrevious experience in high-speed manufacturingRequired KnowledgeEquipment Maintenance: Knowledge of performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is neededMathematics: Basic mathematical skills to include knowledge of working within .001 of an inchMechanical: Knowledge of machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceSafety: General knowledge of operating safely on applicable machinery to include forklift operation and lockout-tagoutRequired SkillsComputer use: Use of computer software to include scanning materials onto outgoing trucks and printing appropriate pallet tagsCritical Thinking: Use of logic and reasoning to identify potential solutions or approaches to problemsCustomer Service: Display customer needs assessment and meet quality standards for service to include the needs of team membersMonitoring: Monitor and assess performance in yourself, others, and production to make improvements and take corrective actionTime Management: Prioritize duties to most efficiently accomplish tasks and maintain productivityTool Usage: Read and utilize scales, micrometers, dial indicators, and related equipmentTroubleshooting: Determining causes of operating errors and identifying solutionsRequired AbilitiesCommunication: Ability to read and write English and interpret spoken directionManual Dexterity: Ability to quickly move the hand, fingers, or two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objectsOrganization: Ability to maintain an organized work area
