Position Overview:Ensure that all back end equipment is maintained and operating to produce safe quality cans from end of washer/dryer through the pallet staging area.Duties And Responsibilities:
Perform set-up and maintenance and ensure efficient operation of the flangers, beaders, light testers, lacquer spray machines, IBOs, palletizer and strappers.Responsible for the maintenance and set up of all back end conveying, which includes all single filers and can transfer apparatus.At scheduled intervals, inspect, monitor and document in the computer the following can specifications:-
Flanged can height

Factory finished can height-
Flange width
-
Flange angle-
Axial load
-
Panel resistance-
Bead depth
-
Rolling bead diameter and placement-
Plug diameter
-
Oven temperature checksPerform visual checks of cans to ensure entire process is in compliance and take appropriate measures to correct the process when deficiencies are found.Complete required paperwork and documentation such as process check sheets, log books, and maintenance check sheets.Perform Equipment Set-up Evaluations (ESE) and make proper adjustments as required.Assist in other areas as needed to maintain a smooth flow of cans through the plant.Maintain cleanliness of all work areas and follow all safety procedures and work practices.Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned
