Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney

A law firm in San Jose, CA, is seeking a Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney with 8-10 years of experience. The candidate will have an immediate opportunity to handle substantial litigation matters, including employment litigation. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in executing legal strategy, handling key litigation events, and advocating for clients. The firm offers benefits such as medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid parental leave, group life, and disability coverage.Duties:Take on substantial litigation matters immediately.Execute legal strategy, including motion practice, trial, arbitration, and hearings.Handle depositions and produce witnesses for depositions.Advocate for clients in various legal proceedings.Interface directly with attorneys and clients.Work independently and productively.Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills.Make strong decisions and solve problems effectively.Manage internal and external deadlines.Develop and implement legal strategies, with a concentration on employment litigation.Requirements:8-10 years of experience in commercial litigation.Law firm experience and previous client advocacy experience.Some experience with employment litigation.Concentration in employment litigation preferred.Education:Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California Bar.Skills:Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organization skills.Ability to effectively manage internal and external deadlines.Legal strategy development and implementation.
