Position SummaryAs a Program Coordinator with our Diversity Programs & Initiatives team, you can build your career while providing programmatic support for a wide variety of our initiatives, activities and events. Our team is committed to the growth and sustainability of our UCLA Alumni diversity networks and implementing a comprehensive alumni engagement program with a focus on our diversity networks and their communities within California and around the world. You will be responsible for managing program-related projects, needs and resources; participating in program planning and logistics; contributing to developing marketing/communications materials and other social media efforts. You will also collect and maintain data for our team; develop, track and reconcile financial and accounting transactions and work on other projects as needed. QualificationsPrior experience in an alumni-, volunteer- and/or student-driven environment with a demonstrated ability to build cooperative, effective relationships with alumni/volunteers/students, etc. (Required)Experience providing a high level of customer service to constituents and replying to member inquiries/concerns in a customer service-oriented, dues-supported and/or constituent services environment. (Required)Experience working in an educational and/or non-profit, client service-oriented environment is highly desirable. (Preferred)Ability to work as part of a team toward a common goal; strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, students, volunteers, and administrators. (Required)Ability to coordinate meetings and special events, including securing location, planning menus, and making arrangements with caterers and vendors. Also, compose invitation list and track RSVPs. (Required)Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong ability to speak clearly and distinctly, use grammatically correct language to obtain and convey information accurately and precisely by phone, in person and in writing. (Required)Detail-oriented with proven ability to plan, organize and prioritize assignments; strong project/time management skills, ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously and proficiently follow-up; make effective timely decisions, and meet deadlines in a dynamic fast-paced setting. (Required)Skill and creativity in using existing and new resources to gather information needed to complete projects. (Required)Demonstrated proficiency with Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, Outlook and other software programs on a networked computer system. Ability to learn new applications/technologies in a prompt and efficient manner. (Required)Supervisory skills to effectively manage student workers and volunteers, including training, delegation follow-up and evaluation. (Required)Knowledge of UCLA programs, services, departments, forms, policies and procedures, including appropriate management of confidential alumni information. (Preferred)
