Position Summary

The Human Resource Manager is a key member of the Resinall Leadership Team reporting directly to the Vice President of Operations. The position supports Hattiesburg, MS, and Severn, NC, facility employees. Working closely with the Resinall Leadership Team and Corporate HR Team in Flowood, MS, the role is critical for developing, administering, and improving employee relations and talent development programs.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations:
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting open communication, resolving conflicts, and addressing employee concerns.
  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance job satisfaction and team collaboration.
  • Ensure the company's HR policies and procedures comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and changes in employment laws, updating policies as needed.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

Talent Acquisition:
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies with local stakeholders to attract top talent to our facilities.
  • Coordinate the hiring process, from job posting to candidate onboarding, ensuring a smooth and positive experience for all stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and develop job descriptions.

Training and Development:
  • Work with the Corporate Talent Management team in developing, facilitating, and improving employee training.
  • Identify training needs and collaborate with department heads to implement training programs that enhance employee skills and knowledge.

Benefits Administration:
  • Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to optimize benefit offerings and ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Support payroll processing for hourly and salary employees.

Performance Management:
  • Support managers in their implementation of Ergon's performance management tools, encouraging feedback and career development for all employees.
  • Work with managers to identify areas for improvement and development plans.

HR Metrics and Reporting:
  • Develop and analyze HR metrics to provide insights into workforce trends and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership on key HR indicators.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5 years of experience in human resources management
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals.
  • Proficient in HRIS (Human Resources Information System) software and MS Office Suite.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field
  • 7 years of experience in human resources management
  • 3 years of experience supervisory experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP Certification
  • Experience in SuccessFactors and SAP
