The impact you will make in our faith-based, mission-driven culture will cultivate excellence and achieve professional fulfillment united in humankindness.As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for:Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Qualifications:In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified nursing candidates will need the following:Education RequirementsAssociates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsementBachelors Degree in Nursing preferredGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNsExperience RequirementsOne year experience preferredNursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialtyLicenses/Certification RequirementsRN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure CompactPhysical RequirementsMedium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)Schedule: Full time (variable)Your Connected Community:At CommonSpirit Mountain Region, we believe in the healing power of humanity and serving the common good through our dedicated work and shared mission to celebrate humankindness.The Surgery department at St. Mary-Corwin offers a variety of service lines including ENT, General, Ortho/Spine and Urology. Robotic-assisted total knee and hip replacements are an exciting addition to our orthopedic service line. We have eight ORs, three endoscopy suites and a perioperative unit consisting of 23 pre/post beds. We average 45 surgical cases per week, and 15 endoscopy cases per day. We strive to maintain safe, high-quality care throughout the entire surgical and perioperative experience. Perioperative and operative nursing is an exciting venue of nursing that focuses on the safe preparation, procedure, and recovery of patients. This requires broad knowledge base, critical thinking skills and flexible skillsets.
