Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst who is eager to use and grow their technological skillset. In this role, the successful candidate will protect our critical business systems technology both on-premises and in the Microsoft Azure cloud, build and design solutions, implement new software and hardware, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. You will be responsible for effective installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure systems hardware and software, with special attention to providing a reliable technical infrastructure to the business. We are looking for someone with advanced troubleshooting skills that can manage and solve complex incidents, having the desire and drive to see solutions through completion while having the ability to communicate with multiple layers of people.Responsibilities:Develop as a technical subject matter expert in a targeted area of our Microsoft Azure Tenant, network and infrastructure and application stack to provide Tier II and III support.Participate in the IT Operations lifecycle including documentation, provisioning, deployment, training, maintenance, troubleshooting, and growth management of complex interrelated systems.Provide technical oversight of physical and virtual architecture, including planning, implementing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.Assist with and lead project implementations, changes, and improvements to environment.Assure a high level of reliability and performance through systems monitoring and infrastructure management.Manage and monitor health of the VMWare server environment.Maintain Active Directory, Domain, DNS, and related technologies to support secure and reliable access to the network and servers.Develop a thorough understanding of technology integrations between different systems that are on-premises, physical, virtual, and cloud based.Occasional night and weekend work is required for system updates and maintenance.Qualifications:
Associates Degree with 2+ years of equivalent experience, Bachelors Degree Preferred.Past experience with data protection, including disaster recovery, data storage, backup and restore technologies.Understanding of networking and server administration.Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.Knowledge with TCP/IP networking protocol.Experience with cloud and on-premises application delivery technologies such as Citrix and SCCM.Ability to work in a team environment; strong interpersonal skills and adaptability are a must.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present information to technical and non-technical teammates.Solid troubleshooting skills with a desire for continual learning.Must be available for approximately 25% travel facilities within Upstate New York and New England.Occasional night and weekend work is required with overnight stays depending on project locations.Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted.This position is on-site.
