Oversee the creation and execution of annual marketing plans for the intercollegiate athletics programs, focusing on increasing attendance and enhancing the game day experience.Work in conjunction with Abilene Christian Sports Properties to implement and fulfill all corporate sponsorships.Build relationships with campus partners to collaborate on home events with the focus of enhancing the student experience.Provide leadership and direction for marketing staff as assigned, including Marketing Assistant(s), Student Interns, and Student Volunteers.Essential Duties

Serve as the primary marketing contact for Men’s Basketball, Tennis (M/W), Golf (M/W), Cross Country/Track and Field (M/W) and the secondary contact for Football and Baseball.Develop comprehensive marketing plans for all athletics programs by applying best practices to elevate the game day experience.Oversee the execution of the game day production as it relates to the overall run of show for home events.Ensure the promotion of athletics events increases visibility of ACU on the campus and within the Abilene community.Work with the Creative Services team to develop content for both internal and external audiences.Assist with ticket operations on developing leads to generate ticket revenue.Collaborate with the Media Relations team to tell the story of ACU Athletics.Qualifications

Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and interest in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.Two (2) to Three (3) years of experience in athletic marketing/fan experiences.Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, in order to create and present marketing plans, promotional materials, proposals, and advertising.A high degree of self-motivation and organization as it relates to various tasks.Skill to establish and nurture strong relationships with students and members of the community.A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.Ability to interpret and review manuals, game reports, marketing plans, and proposals.Proficiency with MS Office and internet social networking sites.Must be able to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.A basic understanding of college athletics at the NCAA Division I level.Preferred Qualifications:Strong Christian beliefs and values.Master’s Degree and interest in Business, Marketing, Sports Management, or related field.Experience managing student staff.Knowledge in creating marketing collateral and/or concepts for an athletic department.Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.Physical Demands

Ability to endure long hours and extended periods of time typing on a computer.Extended periods of walking and climbing stairs.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Ability to lift tables and chairs to arrange events.Possible exposure to weather extremes.Additional Information
