TRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated GIS Analyst to provide technical support for clients, and fellow TRC staff. The GIS Analyst must have a minimum of

year(s) of experience applying GIS technology to answer questions and solve problems.This position may report to our Albuquerque-NM, Houston-TX, Phoenix-AZ, or Salt Lake City-UT offices.The successful candidate must:have excellent communication and organizational skills to work as a member of a larger GIS team to complete project tasks; remotely and in person.collaborate with project managers, clients, and GIS staff to ensure that quality and timely GIS support is provided on all projects.keep abreast with current GIS technology and be responsible for discovering and implementing new technology with assistance from other members of the TRC GIS team.be self-motivated and able to work independently with supervision from a GIS Manager.have the ability to manage multiple projects needs concurrently and in a time-sensitive mannerThe applicant should demonstrate proficiency and experience using GIS software including but not limited to ESRI's ArcGIS Pro 3.0+ and ArcGIS for Desktop 10.8+ suite and the implementation and development of Web based GIS platforms using ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online.Responsibilities
General geographic data creation, editing, and analysisDevelop and manage enterprise GIS databases, GIS webmaps, and GIS mobile appsProduction of figures for a variety of environmental reportsDesktop analysis of environmental constraints data such as soils, hydrologic features, land cover, public lands, etc. for planning field surveys or agency application submittalsQuery geographic data for information to be used in reports/proposalsWork interactively with data from CAD platforms and other geospatial data sourcesCollaborate with other TRC staff to improve project methodologies and deliverablesThink critically about tasks, see the big picture, and problem solveQualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Computer Science, or other related discipline.A minimum of

Able to enter and edit data successfully with minimal errors.Cartography and Graphic Design: Able to express graphically, usually through maps and online viewers, the features within a GIS.Basic GIS Analysis: Able to utilize GIS applications to examine the locations, attributes, and relationships of features in spatial data through overlay and other analytical techniques to address a question or gain useful knowledge.Geodatabase Development & Design / Data Models: Able to utilize GIS applications to build a GIS, i.e. data mining, geodatabase design, data conversion, etc. Able to define data requirements needed to support business processes.GPS Device/Applications: Able to configure and troubleshoot various GPS devices and mobile data collection applications.Desired GIS CompetenciesAdvanced GIS Analysis/Model Building: Able to utilize GIS applications to perform advanced spatial analysis or data conversion or manipulation. i.e. raster/surface manipulation, mosaic, modify and repurpose imagery for other software. Able to use applications and scripts to create automated geoprocessing workflows.Application of GIS/Problem Solving: Able to translate client needs to solutions using GIS technology.
