Job Summary: Workers' Compensation Claim Supervisor We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Claim Supervisor to join our team in a hybrid role. This position offers a flexible work schedule, with three days per week in the office and two days working from home, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. As a Workers' Compensation Claim Supervisor, you will lead a team of five Claim Adjusters, overseeing the investigation, adjustment, and management of claims. Your role will involve supervising multiple accounts across education, manufacturing, and hospitality industries, so experience in these sectors is highly valued. A Michigan adjuster's license or the ability to obtain one is required. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and mentor a team of Workers' Compensation Claim Adjusters. Oversee the investigation and adjustment of claims, ensuring adherence to CCMSIs Corporate Claim Standards. Manage claims related to various industries, including education, manufacturing, and hospitality. Conduct local travel for meetings and training sessions, with no national travel required. Utilize previous knowledge of claims within these industries to enhance team performance and service quality. Qualifications: Michigan Workers' Compensation claim experience is required. At least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred. Experience with multiple accounts within the education, manufacturing, and hospitality industries is beneficial. Previous knowledge of claims within these industries is helpful. National account experience is a plus. Responsibilities: Review, assign and provide supervision of all claim activity for designated claims to ensure compliance with Corporate Claim Standards, client specific handling instructions and in accordance with applicable laws. Investigate, evaluate and adjust assigned claims in accordance with established claim handling standards and laws. Reserve establishment and/or oversight of reserves for designated claims within established reserve authority levels. Provide oversight of medical, legal, damage estimates and miscellaneous invoices to determine if reasonable and related to designated claims. Negotiate any disputed bills or invoices for resolution. Authorize and make payments of claims in accordance with claim procedures utilizing a claim payment program in accordance with industry standards and within established payment authority. Negotiate settlements in accordance within Corporate Claim Standards, client specific handling instructions and state laws, when appropriate. Assist designated claim staff in the selection, referral and supervision of designated claim files sent to outside vendors. (i.e. legal, surveillance, case management, etc.) Direct handling of designated litigated and complex claims. Provide education, training and assist in the development of claim staff. Review and maintain personal diary on claim system. Supervision of all claim activity for specified accounts. Compliance with Corporate Claim Handling Standards and special client handling instructions as established. Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to clearly communicate verbally and/or in writing both internally and externally. Education and/or Experience 10 + years claim experience is required. Three years supervisory experience is preferred. Computer Skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations MI Adjusters licenese is preferred or the ability to obtain one within 60 days of hire.
