is currently recruiting an Acquisitions Director to join our team in its Atlanta headquarters to assist senior management with all aspects of the company’s apartment acquisition, disposition and financing activity in the Southeast and Texas. We are looking for a dynamic leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to help ECI achieve our strategic growth objectives by ensuring we are making informed and empowered acquisition decisions.

What You’ll Do
Identify and track potential apartment acquisition opportunities in assigned geographic region
Submit and negotiate letters of intents and purchase and sale agreements for apartment acquisitions
Manage apartment acquisition due diligence and closing process, which includes interface with the company’s asset management and management divisions and 3rd party consultants
Manage financing apartment acquisitions and refinancing apartments already owned by the company, which includes preparation of loan request package, obtaining term sheets, negotiating term sheet with selected lender, providing due diligence information to selected lender, negotiating loan documents and managing loan closing process
Manage apartment dispositions, which includes preparation of internal valuation, obtaining valuations from brokers, approval of broker offering memorandum, negotiating purchase and sale agreement and conveyance documents, and managing due diligence and closing process
Manage obtaining investment committee approvals for apartment acquisitions, dispositions and financings, which includes preparation of digital investment committee presentations
Maintain organized electronic files for all transactions
Manage real estate investment analyst and administrative staff
Prepare financial models to analyze apartment acquisition opportunities and disposition and financing strategies (in Excel)
It is expected that this position will work from the office when not traveling for work, but reasonable remote working accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Execution of other duties and projects assigned by senior management
Requirements:What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field
5-10+ years of apartment acquisitions experience, preferably in the Southeast and Texas
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong written and verbal communications kills
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Positive and professional demeanor
Proactive and resourceful
Strong work ethic and willingness to work as needed to handle transaction closings and other important matters
Self-starter with ability to work independently with limited supervision
Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Pride in work product and attention to detail
