Program:

ELP is a grant funded academic enrichment program that works in partnership with school districts/charters throughout San Diego County to provide quality out-of-school time programming.

Position Summary:

Work with Hiring Managers and TA Partners and Admins to quickly fill vacancies and select qualified and diversified candidates that also meet the team's needs. Work with Hiring Managers to determine the best course of action for the hiring process, determine timeline, and process for selection, recommend best practices, and assist with sourcing, selection, communication with candidates, set up interviews, compensation approval etc. TA Lead will support Expanded Learning Programs (ELP).

Supervision:

This position includes supervisory responsibilities for 5 direct reports.

Work Designation:

Remote; Must live in San Diego County and have reliable transportation for in person meetings.

May need to travel to ELP Regional Offices monthly or as needed, or Association Office for monthly meetings.

What does this role entail?

Directly supervising a group of pods and developing recruitment strategies; lead full cycle recruitment for a group of high-volume, entry-level positions, from posting to selection and onboarding.

Understand and capitalize on various sourcing strategies for high turnover, part time positions; research and make suggestions for new avenues of sourcing for hard to fill, high volume roles.

Partner with hiring managers and human resources to ensure a smooth transition from candidate to new hire onboarding.

Maintain an excellent candidate experience with responsiveness and follow through.

Develop a strong pipeline of entry level candidates and nurture candidate relationships through effective communications and attraction strategies.

Develop and implement process improvements based on full cycle recruitment model.

Proactively anticipate hiring needs for multiple departments and branches, monitor hiring decisions and track onboarding numbers.

Develop and maintain technical knowledge in the specialized areas related to talent acquisition to ensure optimal tools and resources are being utilized.

Create and implement programs to increase candidate pipeline for critical positions; partner with marketing to ensure the effective use of social media as a part of our recruitment strategy.

Build and cultivate strong relationships with client groups by understanding business objectives and providing solutions to talent needs.

Provide senior management with required metrics and analyses of recruiting analytics in order to quickly address recruitment challenges for specific assigned pod.

What do I need to bring to the table?

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience in recruiting required.

A minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.

Four (4) years of experience working in a high-volume hiring environment, managing a full desk, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), developing and fostering a strong candidate pipeline.

Experience suggesting and implementing creative sourcing strategies for high volume recruiting.

Experience working with metrics-driven results and comfortable being held accountable for high level recruitment metrics.

Advanced working knowledge of MSOffice products, emphasis on Excel data manipulation.

Demonstrated time management skills.

High attention to detail abilities.

Strong effective communication skills.

Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency to achieve goals.

Outside the box thinker with knowledge of unique strategies for high volume recruitment, attracting and retaining entry level candidates.

CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant, obtained within 30 days of hire and must be from one of the following certifying organizations:

American Red Cross

American Heart Association

American Safety & Health Institute
