Veranex has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Director, Business Development (Product Design and Engineering) with a focus on Hardware, Software, and System Product Engineering | Technology Transfer from Research to Development | Full Lifecycle Management for HW and SW systems. As a senior member of the Business Development team at Veranex, you will be part of a team working to improve lives globally through medical technology innovation. You will impact the success of the organization by driving sales of company solutions and services to prospective and current clients.

This position will do the following:Generates sales to new clients and cross-, up-, and repeat sales to existing clients with emphasis on expertise in Software, Hardware, and Digital device solutions.Demonstrates passion for the company’s vision and drives enthusiasm for the organization’s work.Assesses client needs and recommends appropriate products, services, and/or solutions with established expertise in Software, Hardware, and Digital device solutions.Develops and delivers sales bids/proposals/presentations.Develops short-, medium-, and long-term sales plans and prepares strategies to establish, protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted clients.Networks, develops potential leads, and follows through to bring in new business.Coordinates with operations leaders to create specific solutions for potential clients.Collaborates with Marketing to create messaging that promotes brand value and drives leads.Develops a strong pipeline of Product Design and Engineering for Veranex, typically multi-year projects providing substantial and predictable revenue.Builds awareness and establishes credibility globally of Veranex’s capacity and capabilities.Prospects and networks to generate leads and identify prospective new clients, engage with prospective clients, completes proposals and closes sales.Creates formal networks with key decision makers and serves as an external spokesperson for the organization.Qualifications:Required skills:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Software engineering, Communications or related field, plus a minimum of 12 years related experience and demonstrated success in sales generation and achieving high-growth sales targets in the Software / Hardware / Digital space specifically.Knowledge of the Device, Design, and Development discipline with a track record of success selling in this space.Knowledge of the Design and Development discipline within the Digital ecosystem and a track record of success selling in this space.Knowledge of phase development and ability to assess starting points and project needs across medical device and drug delivery system technology platforms.Ability to assess past relevant experience for prospective client and draft appropriate sales tools (decks, case studies, subject matter expertise) to win business.Collaborate with Marketing on demand generation and demand creation activities.Goal-driven with a sense of urgency.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and cultural awareness/sensitivity.Strong financial and analytical skills.Detailed time and territory management skills (pipeline management, cross business unit selling, lead follow through).
