About This Role:

The Vice President of Program Management provides organizational leadership and is responsible for leading the Product Design and Engineering Program Management organization. This role is responsible for ensuring that client programs are led to success, achieving technical, financial and team leadership objectives. This role will report to the General Manager of the Product Design and Engineering (PD&E) business unit and be part of the business unit senior management team. Directly reporting to this role is the Directors of Program Management team.

What You Will Do:

Responsible for setting vision, and developing, owning and delivering on the mission of the Program Management organization.Responsible for deploying a Program Management team to achieve program goals and effectively balance the competing priorities of: Client Success, Technical Success, Team success.Build and maintain the teams/talent and capabilities to fulfill the Program Management mission.Own and continually improve Program Management and product design and development processes and best practices.Identify, develop and hire high potential talent in the development of current and future business unit and organizational leaders.Develop executive level client relationships and serve as point of escalation for program resolutions.Support business development activities in collaboration with the corporate business development team and business unit operations leaderships – including owning/supporting proposal developments and client win strategies.Support the achievement of corporate goals via the strategic implementation of aligned objectives within the Program Management function.Work collaboratively with other business unit leaders and across organization.Encourages innovation within the team and explores how novel solutions can drive competitive advantage.Maintains leading edge awareness of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in medical device industry.Qualifications:

Required Skills:

Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related discipline plus 15 years of experience in product development, technical leadership and program management or directly related experience, including 5 years of medical device experience.Experience in business development strategy and methodology.Experience in engineering/development services industry.Experience in leading teams and business within a product design & development services function/business.Extensive knowledge of design controls and applicable regulatory requirements.Excellent interpersonal skills.Excellent written and oral communication.Exceptional presentation and client-facing skills.Excellent strategic thinking capabilities and change management expertise.Excellent problem-solving skills reflecting creative and analytical thinking.Excellent attention to detail.Advanced leadership skills including change management, people management, strategic thinking and influencing.Advanced ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects.Ability to communicate complex business concepts to a multidisciplinary audience.Ability to manage team resources to ensure attainment of departmental objectives.Veranex is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination of any kind.
