About This PositionKenway Consulting is currently looking for a versatile Senior Consultant who can seamlessly move between data engineering, cloud engineering, and DevOps roles. The ideal candidate will focus on designing, implementing, and constructing solutions that solve our clients' critical technology and business problems across these domains.The Senior Consultant should have a passion for helping clients drive strategic decisions with data, cloud technologies, and efficient DevOps practices. They should enjoy working autonomously while also collaborating with team members and be comfortable with clients of varying sizes and industries.

Responsibilities

Assist with the architecture, development, and implementation of scalable, performant, and cost-effective data and cloud platforms in support of client business processes.Communicate with stakeholders to ensure data quality, cloud efficiency, and operational excellence.Lead a team of other consultants to evaluate requirements, define a vision, generate designs, and ultimately solve problems through engineering.Work independently and lead teams to evaluate requirements and solve complex technical problems.Lead the design and implementation of data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and DevOps workflows.Stay current with the latest technologies and trends in data, cloud, and DevOps to support practice development and inform Go-To-Market Strategy.Assist with proposal generation and business development pursuits.

Basic Qualifications

Qualification(s) in computer science, information technology, or equivalent practical experience.2-5 years of working experience in data engineering, cloud engineering, and DevOps, including:Strong knowledge of data processing approaches (batch, real-time, event-driven).Experience building and deploying scalable systems with particular emphasis on reusable patterns and logging and alerting strategies.Enterprise-level DevOps and deployment approaches.Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, Git, Agile).Programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.Strong knowledge of Data Platforms (Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.).Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases.Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).Familiarity with software delivery concepts and best practices (CI/CD, Git, Agile, DevOps, etc.).Familiarity in business analysis, requirements gathering and management, and data discovery and profiling to drive further solutioning and refinement.Experience leading teams, projects, and initiatives across data, cloud, and DevOps domains, including a strong understanding of tooling used to support project delivery such as JIRA, Azure DevOps Boards, etc.Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and complete tasks independently.
