Leads learning in the areas of diverse learners, creating a safe environment for all learners, hybrid and online learning, and student mental wellness. Provides excellent customer service and communication to all stakeholders including local schools who send students to Kent ISD Secondary Programs. Assists the Assistant Superintendent of Career and Talent Development in administrative and supervisory functions related to Kent ISD Secondary Programs.Job Qualifications:Valid Michigan teaching certificateMinimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience at the secondary level strongly preferredValid Michigan school administrator certificate, or commitment to enroll in an approved program within six months and obtain administrator certification within three yearsGraduate degree in a relevant field of study strongly preferredSchool administrator experience preferredAbility to effectively implement Online/Blended/Hybrid Digital Learning ModelsDemonstrated commitment to Digital Learning, Competency Based Learning, and technology integrationEffective written and oral communication skillsKnowledge of standards-based educationCollaborative leadership and teambuilding skillsDemonstrated competencies in staff supervision and evaluationEvidence of positive community relationship skillsCommitment to fostering and maintaining partnerships and community supportCommitment to the inclusion and achievement of all studentsDemonstrates self-motivation and ability to successfully complete tasks as assignedBuilds consensus and shared decision makingAbility to effectively develop and administer the program budgetDemonstrates high level of technology skillsDemonstrates a strong commitment to equity, social justice, and inclusion in all practices and position responsibilitiesPossess deep knowledge of and experience with digital learning, credit recovery, and at-risk learners. Has the ability to provide professional learning and expertise to constituent districts in these areasDemonstrates the ability to examine the impact of education inequities in student achievement outcomes as they align with race, ethnicity, and socio-economic status.Oversight and responsibility for all aspects of MySchool@KentProvides the day-to-day leadership and supervision of Kent ISD’s MySchool@Kent program, including summer schoolProvides leadership and coordination of the school’s academic program in collaboration with staffEnsures frequent and effective communications to MySchool@Kent stakeholdersLeads MySchool@Kent in areas of diversity, equity, belonging, and inclusion to create an equitable and welcoming learning experience for all studentsRepresents Kent ISD in hybrid and online learning related matters at the local, state and/or national levelTakes direction and collaborates with Assistant Superintendent of Career and Talent Development in areas of staffing, financial management and program development/prioritizationMonitors budgets, seeks funds, supervises professional and classified staff and provides opportunities for continuous learning to improve training and consultative skillsParticipates in local, regional, state and national meetings as assignedProvides leadership and advocacy in areas of quality hybrid and online learning as requested by the Assistant Superintendent of Career and Talent DevelopmentProvide quality professional learning and expertise to constituent districts in these areasSupports the development of technological applications to enhance the Secondary Programs at Kent ISDGathers and analyzes data to determine trends in credit recovery, online learning, and other digital learning opportunitiesOversees the Kent ISD Summer School ProgramFunctions as the MySchool@Kent Administrator supporting students in need of embedded credit from other Kent ISD Secondary ProgramsSupports periodic program supervision in other Secondary Programs, such as KCTC or KIH, when necessaryPerforms other tasks assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Career and Talent DevelopmentCareer Readiness Leadership Preferences:Stays current in best practices in digital and online learning.Strategic / Visionary Leader that aligns Digital Learning best practices within the programsData-driven leader with experience and capacity in leveraging data decisively to lead with collaboration and experience in technology solutions to establish goals and guide department visionAwareness of Educational Innovation Strategies and can build those strategies into our programsFacilitate, Provide, and Guide Stakeholder Opportunities and Leadership Experiences in Successful Collaboration providing Innovative Services, Strategies, and Programs in Digital Learning.Sound Leader Skilled in Servant Leadership with a focus on obstacle mitigation providing critical opportunities for team growth/achievementSalary:

Professional Salary Schedule, Grade 8. $106,802 minimum starting salary, commensurate with experience and credentials.Benefits:
