Head of Global People Analytics

The People Analytics team is responsible for generating insights, analytics, and reporting that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. The Head of Global People Analytics is a critical leadership role designed to bridge sophisticated data analytics and human resources to champion a data-driven culture within the organization. This individual will lead initiatives to integrate analytics within HR practices, enhancing decision-making processes, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. This role is also responsible for the enterprise listening strategy, which includes measuring annual engagement and providing insights that strengthen IDEXX’s culture and deliver on our employee value proposition.

Responsibilities: Generate Insights & Storytelling: Build compelling stories and act as a consultative partner for HR and business leaders, advocating for data-driven decision-making across departments. Lead analysis and interpretation of people data to provide actionable insights for decision-making. Monitor workforce trends and patterns to identify potential issues or opportunities and provide proactive recommendations. Act as a guide by looking forward to future trends in the workforce to help inform current people strategies. Collaboration & Influence: Act as a consultative partner and a key enabler for HR and business leaders to promote the use of data in driving HR excellence. Advocate for data-driven culture change across the organization, demonstrating the value of analytics in achieving business outcomes. Strategic Leadership: Create and deliver on a multi-year people analytics roadmap that meets IDEXX’s evolving business needs, incorporates industry best practices (including the ethical use of AI in HR data), and leverages current tools (e.g., Tableau, Snowflake, AWS, Workday). Coach and develop the People Analytics team. Reporting and Data Access: Enable HR insights to be easily consumed by end users. Enable seamless access to HR data through custom and standard reporting, dashboards, and data feeds. Maintain cloud data environment via Snowflake and AWS to enable complex data merging and analyses. Compliance & Ethics: Champion the data privacy and governance rules and demonstrate exceptional judgment when dealing with sensitive data. Ensure all data analytics initiatives align with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards. Drive Awareness: Identify gaps and opportunities for upskilling and continuous learning within the HR team in the areas of data literacy, metrics, tools, and insights. Qualifications: Master’s or bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in People Analytics or related field. Management/Strategy Consulting experience a plus. Excellent storytelling skills (to technical and non-technical audiences) and ability to present complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner. Strong experience in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting unstructured HR data and providing recommendations to leadership. Exceptional collaboration and partnership skills with particular focus on HR business partners, DEI team, IT counterparts, business executives, and support functions. Solid understanding of core HR processes and data security policies globally. Proficiency in statistical analysis software and data visualization tools, such as Python, SQL, Power BI, or Tableau. Experience working with Workday or other HRIS data. Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a high-performing team. We know there's a lot to consider.
