The DOS has responsibility for the Sales and Marketing Budget/P&L, revenue forecasting, advertising, marketing, developing and writing business plans, and ownership meetings. This includes a focus on maximizing hotel revenue by achieving budgeted goals, identifying and monitoring business trends, and utilizing negotiation tactics to achieve significant profit while meeting clients' needs through creative marketing solutions.The DOS is responsible for the supervision of sales managers, trainees, interns, and administrative staff. Additional responsibilities include the recruitment and hiring of sales staff, training, and managing sales managers to meet company goals and maximize hotel revenues. Must be proficient in general computer knowledge and able to train and monitor both group and transient contractual agreements, quoting rates, sending referrals, setting traces, and managing retention, reactivation, and acquisition accounts. The DOS reports directly to the General Manager and Regional Vice President of Sales responsible for the hotel. Communication and organizational skills are of the utmost importance.This is not your typical career opportunity. This is the Hyatt Touch.Qualifications

8 years or more of progressive hotel Sales experience (typically with Hyatt)Previous Director of Sales and Marketing experience preferredDemonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgroundsPrevious hotel pre-opening experience preferredDemonstrated history of successResults-driven, energetic, and focusedService-oriented style with professional presentation skillsHotel/Hospitality degree an assetMust possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume concept, effective communicator, and ability to improve the bottom lineClear concise written and verbal communication skills in EnglishMust be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
