Salary:
$30.00 - $32.00 per hour
Summary:
Coordinates and directs the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Inspects building and evaluates use of space and facilities.
Analyzes firm's HVAC systems, computer network wiring, lighting, and other factors.
Manages the Facilities Department, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling facilities modifications with cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
Performs audits to support facility planning.
Develops long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements and documentation for facilities.
Formulates and coordinates program specifications, requirements for proposals and contracts, and associated documents.
Acts as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.
Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications.
Reviews contracts for compliance with government specifications and suitability for occupancy.
Oversees the coordination of building space allocation, layout, and communication services.
Oversees and directs maintenance personnel and workers engaged in equipment installation, facilities equipment repair, and preventive maintenance.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Word Documents and Excel Spreadsheets needed.
Uses hand-held or stationary power tools as required.
Travels to various locations within San Diego County and uses own vehicle.
Reports potentially unsafe conditions.
Works well with others.
Other duties as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a related field from an accredited college or university AND at least 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations.
Must possess, and present upon hire, a current, valid CA driver’s license and current, valid vehicle insurance that meets either of the following personal vehicle insurance coverage limits:
A combined single limit of $100,000
OR
A split limit with a minimum lower limit of $100,000.
