The Senior Director of Human Resources is responsible for planning, leading, directing, and developing the organization's human resources services, policies, and programs. Specific areas of concentration include employee relations, regulatory compliance, training and development, compensation and benefits administration, employee safety and health, and HRIS management.

These are some of the things our Senior Director of Human Resources will do:

Develop and implement HR strategies and practices that are closely aligned with the organization's mission, vision, values, and strategic plan.

Leads the HR team by setting and measuring progress towards performance expectations and goals, providing effective direction and guidance, and fostering a cohesive and high-performing team that contributes to the organization's overall success.

Navigate complex staffing challenges, proactively managing issues that include understaffing, conflict resolution, investigations, and developing and delivering disciplinary action practices.

Provide expert guidance and leadership to leaders at all levels of the organization on policy matters including equal opportunity employment, harassment prevention, compensation equity, and performance management.

Drives a culture of high performance throughout the organization by implementing and maintaining performance management measures and coaching employees at all levels of the organization.

Serves as the organization's subject matter expert on employment law, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.

Develops and manages a comprehensive insurance and ancillary benefits strategy, optimizing offerings to attract and retain top talent while managing costs and staying compliant with relevant regulations.

Oversee the development and maintenance of all personnel related policies and procedures, fostering the principles of clarity, consistency, and compliance throughout the organization.

Manages the Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) software, maintains data integrity in the systems, and works with outside vendors to provide support and maintenance.

Fulfills a variety of federal and state reporting requirements for the organization including, but not limited to: EEO-1 reporting, OSHA reporting compliance, 401(k) census reporting, and other financial reporting related to grants and other funding.

Responsible for all other tasks as assigned by the Chief Experience Officer.

This is a full-time position. Our entire organization works Monday to Friday with no nights, weekends, or holidays.

We are still determining the pay scale for this position. We will update this posting when a range has been determined.

We can teach you a lot, but there are a few things we are looking for in our Senior Director of Human Resources:

An associate or bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or another related field is preferred.

Previous experience and a proven track record of administering and managing the human resources function is required.

At least five years of human resources experience is required.

Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certifications are preferred.

Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and/or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) certifications are highly preferred.

Excellent writing, editing, and proofing ability.

Strong interpersonal, verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control expenses.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Ability to take initiative, prioritize duties, and work independently while functioning as a member of a team.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the HRIS system, UKG Ready.

A valid CPR certification or the ability to obtain and maintain CPR certification within 90 days of employment is required.
