Advot seeks a

Development and Communications Manager

to “captain” our fundraising and communication efforts to meet our organization’s short- and long-term needs. We seek a rising fundraising and communications leader who will partner closely with the Founder/Executive Director to design and execute an innovative fundraising plan and follow the communication action plan created by our consultant, targeting existing and new constituents, with an emphasis on cultivating new and energetic patrons' sponsorships. In this position, the Manager will have the opportunity to build Advot’s development and communication programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and execute fundraising objectives that include major gift programs, annual fund strategies, planned giving, fundraising events, and campaigns.

Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations, creating a large-sustained base of annual individual donors.

Develop and track proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising.

Develop and implement marketing and communications campaigns and strategies to help further organizational goals.

Produce relevant and informative marketing collateral for distribution to the public, media, and current/potential donors.

Reach out to influencers, media, and beyond to arrange story placement on a national and global level.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Extensive knowledge of fundraising strategies and principles.

Excellent management and supervisory skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Create reports to analyze and measure a fundraising campaign’s effectiveness.

Collaborate with the board of directors for special events and donor relations.

Leverage community relations, speaking engagements, fundraising events, and communication tools like newsletters and social media platforms to reach donors and sponsors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (required), Master's degree (preferred).

Five years of experience in nonprofit fundraising (highly preferred).

$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
