Department of Counseling & Psychological ServicesPart-Time Counselor PoolPOSITIONThe Department of Counseling & Psychological Services at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its part-time Counselor pool.We welcome applications from individuals who are experienced and student-centered in the following subject areas:Clinical supervisionMulticultural/DiversityCollege populationCrisis interventionIndividual/group therapyThis is a general recruitment for a pool of part-time counselors for the department to draw from as needed. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSPhD, PsyD degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or related field or equivalent experienceCA License as a PsychologistCandidates should have prior supervision experience at the doctoral levelCandidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college studentsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreference will be given to those with significant experience in working with diverse college populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.Preference will also be given to those with relevant performance and professional experience.HOW TO APPLYA complete online application must be submitted in order to receive consideration. Please direct all questions about the position to: Cari Morelli, at cmorelli@fullerton.eduPERFORMANCE EVALUATIONRegular performance evaluations of part-time counselors are made by the department in accord with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement and University Policy Statement 210.070. These performance evaluations determine which counselors will be retained for future and continued counseling assignments. In some instances, evaluations, assignments, and reading material will be reviewed by the departmental personnel committee.COMPENSATIONThe temporary Counselor classification salary range is $7,830 to $14,109 per monthAnticipated hiring range depending on qualifications, not to exceed $8,104 per month

The full-time monthly base salaries indicated above are prorated to the time base assigned.Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications. Services offered at CAPS include short-term individual counseling, group counseling, case management and referral, psychoeducational workshops, and crisis intervention. The CAPS team is comprised of mental health professionals including psychologists, social workers, and marriage and family therapists who specialize in working with a diverse college student population. Services are also provided by graduate-level psychology interns working under the supervision of a licensed counselor.
